Less trap more disclosure.
Seriously though, I couldn't say. I'm not digging the whole disco revival at all so less of that. I need more breaks though, yes the amen has made a small comeback but I would like to see that improve in 2013.

Not enough interesting percussion around for me at the moment, hopefully those generic weak 808s will die out

This seems like the sort of thing that will get boring very quickly because everyone will rinse it. Careful what you wish for.wub wrote:More

First one that comes to mind http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M83_(album)wub wrote:InternetSlaveMaster wrote:More

The last 2 M83 albums were concept as well
(The thread says 'electronic', not EDM)
One of my friends just finished his concept album, my albums have loose concepts to them, etc..
Pikachunes Compilation is essentially a concept album, yeah?
I'm just saying it's something that interests me, and I'd like to see more of it

More innovation, less imitation.
Re: What does electronic music need more/less of in 2013?
if outside of grime producers are going to continue to use their greater exposure to appropriate the grime sound rather than bring any of the guys making it through then in 2013 I'd like to see phone videos of them being stripped and robbed, their mums getting slapped and the police telling promoters not to book them.

Surely if they produce grime, they're grime producers.E-F wrote:if outside of grime producers are going to continue to use their greater exposure to appropriate the grime sound rather than bring any of the guys making it through then in 2013 I'd like to see phone videos of them being stripped and robbed, their mums getting slapped and the police telling promoters not to book them.
Appropriation and added innovation is what creates the next generation of music.
