Mister mightiness

Post by dexter » Sun Dec 16, 2012 10:04 pm

Soundcloud

It's not truly Dubstep, but I hope you don't mind
I personally think it's a little to loud in the breakdown and the build, and some parts contain are some minor flaws.
Hope some of you can complement it with some critical feedback

Thanks!

Let's go trogh the track.
Intro - lovely. Nice melody in the background. These wobs are... strange
Breakdown... very relaxning
Main part - SWEET. I personaly preffer more chilly dubstep, not so harsh
Overall... it's cool track for relaxing, chatting with other friends, but not for party purposes

^ def not a party track.

I really love the bkrdown. it has this ambient/beachy feel to it. also the sounds are beautiful. the percs and kick fit in beautifully. The drop is well placed. I'd say make the wobble less metallic to keep the chilllllll vibe of the whole track. Thats all. Otherwise, some great downer of a track. Some more switchups/adds at the main part would be good IMO. Well done.

Kick/snare are both quite weak and lacking any real power to them. Programming likewise is very repetitive, feels like the same pattern just being looped over and over for the duration of the track...maybe some variation on the hit placement every now and again to break things up a bit?

@wub, I understand what u mean. I comprehend your opinion about the repetitive feeling. I always have got problems with keeping a track interesting throughout the whole song. Indeed, I maybe should have bring in song more variation in the melody or something. Kick and snare are indeed not really coming though in the song, but it wasn't really my intention to make a very hard and dancy track

@symtonematix, Rappone tnx! yea those wobbles are not really convincing. And the breakdown yea, I personally think that's one of the better parts of my song, thinking about making a chilled track with some ideas and sounds from it.
