You should try lowering the hi-hats a little, they're louder than the snare I think . Also, try filling the spectrum, the song looks kind-of plain overall, you need to get that *full feeling* by adding downlifters, sweeps , white noise, effects, etc.

Yeah, the sound cloud upload botched the hi hats so they sound distorted and fatter than they do on the file. But I agree, the snare should cut through more.

As per above, hats are sitting too high in the mix.

Soundcloud doesn't generally mess with the mixdown, however if you've got other elements that are heavily compressed (for example, the snare/other percussion) then when Soundcloud compresses further it can drive the volumes of those elements down.
