Traktor s4 problems!
Hi!
I just bought the Traktor kontrol s4 and i'm having a problem!
The "sync" button worked the first day, but now as i press the sync button, the song slows down 300% or speeds up like 150% it's far from "syncing" the 2 songs together.
Both the songs are 128bpm

either give up on syncing and beatmatch or read the manual, watch tutorials and learn how to setup the beatgrid for a track.

also, go into your preferences and see if the match option is set to beatmatch or tempo match. very big differences. then again, check to see what tempo the songs have been analyzed at, because sometimes it detects it at half speed 70 from 140, you can manually set each tracks tempo in each tracks option/info menu. And lastly, make sure you are setting the right deck as the master tempo. shift + sync will set it to master deck.
Finally, stop hitting sync.

Re: Traktor s4 problems!
As someone who is also using Traktor, I'd say that you are dealing with songs that are tagged incorrectly. If you have one track going at 64bpm and another at 128bpm, they will sync up if you are beatmatching on your own (aka not using the cheat button)... but as soon as you click "sync" on the S4, one of the tracks is going to over-compensate and double (or half) its speed to try to sync together. The problem is fortunately within Traktor, not your controller

Re: Traktor s4 problems!
yes it is good practice not to use the sync button, but i had a similar problem with traktor.
i dont use the sync button but all my effects were going out of time and it was at the top where the "master clock" is; it was set to a different tempo and i had to return it auto before everything started working to the right tempo's again so just have a look at that.
