The wife likes this... bit noodly for me. Speedy J's Public Energy?kidkut wrote:Boards Of Canada - Music has the Right to Children,
Occult roots of dubstep! I have plans for refixes of some of those tunes...kidkut wrote:Portishead - Dummy [Down tempo]

There's a real hipster antipathy to Badu -- bit too coffee table I suppose. I like her!kidkut wrote:Erykah Badu - Baduism, Worldwide Underground [Soul/Hip hop]

Recently I've been listening to a lot of Miles Davis / Gil Evans gear again, plus some 80s Womack, some folky soul... The new rocksteady compo on Moll Selekta has bene on heavy rotation too. And advance CDs of John Eden's new mix

Yeh definately man
Although for me it actually worked the other way round! I was more of warp records glitch boy re: electronic music (aside from my near obsession with hip-hop throughout teenage years), am very very much a latecomer to 'minimal'. Theyve got a lot in common in my opinion, space, less is more etc. And emphasis on softer, echo chamber vibes and trippy atmospherics
