Hey guys, I am quite new to music generally. Couple of weeks ago i was messing with midi keyboard of my friend and in matter of minutes i became totally obcessed with it

So i installed Ableton live trial (hopefully gonna buy full version soon) And started to learn basics of music. Anyway this is first thing that doesnt sound like total crap to me, so i would really appriciate some thoughts of yours on this guys. I used only basic Ableton's tools plus couple of samples on this.
Soundcloud
I gave some feedback here already and going to give more tomorow

Interesting beat and some good ideas going on here...I like the highpitched whining noises especially noticeable in the outro. Tune is sounding a little on the quiet/empty side, so maybe some more background ambience to fill it out.
Overall for only a couple of weeks, this is a great start

Thanks for feedback

Yeah i am well aware of the emptiness but i just couldnt figure out anything else that would fit into song, maybe some more "meaty" pad synth could do ....anyway, i appriciate you your insights, thanks

For your first try, this is a very good attempt. I came on this forum around 2 years ago when I first started up and posted a few of my first trys. I feel I have got alot better since then and I reckon you will to. Stick to it, I think you need to get yourself the full version, some good samples (dubstep if that is the genre you are looking at making) and then work at it. Constructive criticism for your track would be to try and structure your beat a bit more, keep work on one loop at a time and then move onto the next, try and get a bit more variation and bring in some bass
Very good first attempt!.
