It's an online thing, were an ex pirate - Plus its better on the web IMO cos theres no regulations and your free to do what you want, as long as it's a good programme i'm backing anything people do (as long as its not mainstream, but that goes without saying i'd suspect if i'm talking on this forum.) So if anyone wants to give this a try pm me and let me know. Better still e-mail me at notorious_fm@hotmail.com 'cos thats the first place I check.

You need:

A PC

A mixer and decks

A 2x phono to 3.5mm jack cable

Recording software

and ya sorted, just connect it up record the shows, upload em to a storage thing eg sendspace or zippyshare and thats it

also i've thought if we had someone from the forum playing tunes from people on the forum we could turn it into a forum associated show, so e.g the dubstep forum show with DJ Joe bloggs... lol

Also another way you can record shows is a laptop with a tonne of music a mic n recording software or even *cringe* virtual DJ... dont get me started i'm an old git I like me vinyl

Nope, would be a nice idea but i'm not comfy with givin out stream passwords etc this is better, plus I guess it's an old thing from the pirate days about getting a good team together and trustin em lol.

The mix should be 1hr long so we can put continuity announcements in between so people know whats up next, I know its a short space of time but if anything that should make people think about what they put in their show and to make it the best hour in radio, which I believe could be done. As far as what goes into the programme, it can be a 1hr mix it can be a mix n a few tunes in a row n interviews it can be anything.

Try and think of it like this, if you wanted to explain dubstep to people new to the scene while not patronizing the old school, how would that be done and also ask yourself this question:

"If dubstep died tomorrow and I had to make a mix to put in a time capsule so people'd remember, how much old and new stuff would I include in it and what tracks?"
