Four tet mystery

Post by Jimcurve » Sat Jan 12, 2013 12:57 pm

Is it because i didn't sleep last and made too much beats in a row that i can't reproduce this rythm four tet put in his grimes remix, or is it tricky as hell ? ... I got the base with like three percussions top and somehow feel theres something missing, i can't get it

Yeah sure, just care for the rythm i didnt spend much more than a good hour on it (just curious about how he managed to make it) so didnt really do much more than basically mix it to hold on ,

Four Tet is out of control. That Grimes remix is the best track I've heard in months. You came pretty close with that remake, groove wise. :W:

the percussion sounds more like a hipassed percussion loop (dhol, dholak, etc) than hats.

I never use loops except for taking bits of it to work, it's just 808 hats with a low pass and a small room reverb slightly pre delayed
