I've been producing hiphop for years and decided to add the electro/dubstep/trip hop genres to my arsenal. I've been a fan of the genres for a long time, but never ventured into producing them before(shame on me,I know lol). This is the FIRST time ive ever even attempted to make something in this genre.I know the track I'm posting is repetitive and lacks certain sounds, pads, etc, as its still a work in progress.but ive kind of hit a creative dead end at the moment and I'm looking for suggestions, feedback anything that can nudge me in the right direction. I'm currently using an maudio fast track pro, akai mpd24,reason,ableton,and protools.

Re: DSPiiZe - Short Circuit(140bpm dubstep)
Loving the Clerks sample
Drums are quite loud, and am obscuring some of the synth work in places...there are also weird volume fluctuations like around 1m45s and again at 2m where everything seems to get noticeably quieter...not sure if this is intentional?
