Just got my scarlett 2i2 Focusrite.. (Solution found!! :D)
I'm having a problem with it everything I click crackles including fb/volume control/FL/ you get the point. I tried changing the buffer rate, googling the problem, turning gains down and whatever else.
The only thing I've found is whenever I'm in a skype call, it stops crackling, everything becomes clear as day (youtube videos/FL/ volume control and what have you.) and it's clearly streaming through the focusrite cause the sound quality is way better than my onboard when it does that.
crackles through my monitors as well so I have tried both my headphones/monitors.
Anyone else own the Scarlett 2i2 or had the same problem?
For those of you who don't know which I'm pretty sure most of you do it's an audio interface.

I own a Scarlett 2i2 and have that problem sometimes. Whenever it's crackling and whatnot, I just unplug it and plug it back in. You might also want to check that your output is on "Line Out (USB)". Skype probably has the audio output set to ASIO, so whenever you open Skype, it changes it for you.

Fixed it, the problem was having ASIOV2 driver installed. I don't know why but it interferes with scarlett. Now it's clear as day

Vista is so crap though anyway.
Windows 7 is a far better choice.

I have the 8i6 and I have some noise in Windows 7. I'm hoping that its because my interface is close to my external drive, laptop and secondary display and its picking up static. I'll find out when I get my new studio desk and give it some room. If you fix the problem be sure to post the solution.

I think my noise is coming from the fact that I have 1/4" adapters on RCA cables from my Focusrite going to my DJM500, then 1/4" monster cables going to my monitors.
When I plug into my headphone jack on the Focusrite its totally silent.

Mines through my headphone jack AND my monitors.
I got two 1/4th XLR going into it (L & R) , and then the focusrite going into my comp through usb.
Headphones plugged into the front of it.

Soo Ive gotten further in solving this problem. As ive updated windows 7 I downloaded the usb port to 3.0 so thats a plus, however now it is saying that my asio dOesn't have 2 channels which doesnt allow it to run properly. I think as I updTe my windows 7 comp I can shed some light on this problem.

Fixed it solution found!!! Simply updating windows 7 fixed it then replugged the scarlett back in and reloaded daw. Success!!
The main problem lies in not having usb driver 3.0 installed.
