Processing samples
Hi I've been trying to figure out what the fastest way to split the stereo field of multiple field recorded samples into separate mono audio files. Then take all audio parts and normalize them so they are all relative in volume. What would your suggestions or recommendations be on this?
Re: Processing samples
Not 100% sure on this but couldn't you just send left/right of the stereo image to their own mono busses, bounce down and normalize from there?

Re: Processing samples
If you're using Ableton, the Utility plugin can do this really easily.
Re: Processing samples
Im referring to skipping steps and time to enhance the efficiency of processing each individual sample. Is there a software that I can select multiple samples and have the option to split the channels, and normalize all samples at once? Is there a way to do this in audacity or another program something like it?

Yeah, you load your audio in, select "normalise" from the FX menu.LiF3 wrote:Im referring to skipping steps and time to enhance the efficiency of processing each individual sample. Then manually chop and export.

Re: Processing samples
audiofinder solves you're mass-normalizing. I think it could split the signal as well, not sure though.
...NO!
Re: Processing samples
first thought would be protools, as it's a split-stereo environment.
peak used to do batch audio processing pretty well. logic can batch-normalize, but it doesn't like splitting L&R.

Thank you for the comments. I'll look into how to batch on logic
