Why does my audio keep cutting out???

got KRK V6's

running through an edirol fa-66
into my powerbook G4
running logic pro.

while im on a roll with my beats the sound just dissapears
and everything stays on, no loss of power.

i turn the edirol off then on again wait a while for the mac
to recognize it all and i can hear again.

WHY? and how do i stop this happening.

turns out this is a problem that some apple users have and some dont.

apple are at fault with their drivers that they provide companies like edirol apogee etc.. even yamaha.

found a solution, but not a fix.
