Just getting into Funky

Post by Moskra » Tue Feb 05, 2013 1:52 pm

I've been picking up tracks here and there as I go along also some choice Swamp81 releases, trying to venture out from straight 140. Looking for tracks similar to this one, the bassline is crazy! I've got certain tracks like breach- fatherless, Redlight - source 16 that I think could go along with this, looking for some more suggestions. Preferably ones with digital releases as I only have 1 turntable :)

not sure if this link works, couldn't find it anywhere online as its "Juno Exclusive" track is called Ghost Hunter by Jook 10

check out anything on the night slugs label. can i ask why restrict yourself to digital just because of one TT? just rip them then you've got it digital?

plus if you end up getting into mixing you've got records that you've invested in before hand

nice, Night Slugs is pretty awesome. I've actually got a good bit of vinyl, mostly dubstep though. the rips don't sound that great due to me having a lower end turntable with no ground. theres a pretty noticeable hum. I was looking specifically more stuff around 138-136 similar to Footcrab, or Joe - Rut

It's not like he dislikes Vivek or something.

thank you all for the feedback and advice, I picked up a ton of hemlock, funkystepz, brackles, hyperdub, and some other random stuff around 130 I thought was good, pretty much got enough to take me from 140-126. A couple LOL Boys tracks that stood out although that name is ridiculous. question though, what would this track be considered and does anyone have similar tracks to this.
