It depends how much you want to spend.

Nothing? Wood glue method. Alot? Get a proper RCM from Nitty Gritty ;)

EDIT: If you really want to spend big dollar a Loricraft would be good too, while you're at it order me one.

Window cleaner? As long as you wipe it all off afterwards

Cover it with gas and set it on fire.

Can anyone recommend this for removing finger prints?
Always hear people recommending it and others say avoid it.

I've had beer spills on a couple of records, and got rid of it using a microfibre cloth and warm running water. Supposedly there's the risk of leaving "ions" that are dissolved in the water deposited in the grooves, but mine still play fine. If you want to be super safe buy some deionised (boiled and condensed) water and use that. It's just cleaning plastic at the end of the day. Perhaps try the safer method on dmz002 and the easy method on your cheaper records.

i wouldnt really use tap water. i mean if you wanna see why it's bad, pour a little bit onto a matte surface and look at what it leaves behind. i dont know about you, but i dont want that trapped in my grooves. doesnt make a massive difference, but it does affect the sound slightly, as well as wearing down your records more over time... just imagine microscopic little calcium, sodium, etc crystals sitting in your grooves... and picture your needle running across them. makes me cringe like nails on chalkboard

your best bet is to just go with any sort of record cleaning solution, such as these
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vinyl-Record-Cl ... 708&sr=8-2
http://www.amazon.co.uk/CLEANER-INTO-TH ... 708&sr=8-7

and then use that with a microfibre cloth or a dedicated cleaning brush like this one:
