I think that was possibly the worst redbull vid I've ever seen. Could be me, but it comes across as ridiculously pompous and pointless.

Post-Dubstep / UK bass are possibly the stupidest genre names I've ever heard. I'd argue the internet/ redbull has had it's day if this is the kind of unimaginitive drivel their coming up with now, much like a lot of the music on the video. How they hell you gonna call someone like Mount Kimbie post-dubstep? It's indie music. As for all the guy's who have the world at their finger tips and cant even search out what a tune is. :W:

I didn't catch one vibe off that video. I had the pleasure of going to a boiler room show back in the summer. I've never in my life been to such a miserable place, I'm surprised the performers pulled off their shows as that place had literally zero vibe. It was just a load of miserable nobs trying to be cool. I still love the idea of it though, but I've vibed off it more watching it on my laptop. Which is actually rather sad if you think about it.

I just checked a bondax tune on youtube out of interest. Crappy chart music really has declined in quality over the past 20 years. With so much sick underground music still coming out, especially within dubstep, this just really highlights how irrelevant a lot of this stuff is becoming and how important it is to support the scene so people can continue to put tunes out and help it grow.

The day's of trying to bitch that brostep killed the scene are long gone in my mind, the current new release section over at juno (strictly vinyl) shows how much quality music is still being made and being released.

And this "new genre" that no one can put their finger on is basically modern day popular chart music. When we get the next fashion trend the masses follow and your local ritzy opens back up, "post-dubstep" will be what they play in there.

yup cut up rnb vocals and make sure that the drums aren't too heavy, lest you be associated with #dubstep rather than #post-dubstep

Well better they call it post-dubstep or Future Garage rather than chillstep is all I'll say. The world could do without another -step genre.

why are people getting angry at red bull though, the video title itself says DONT call it post-dubstep. They're completely in agreement with you

the other one they did with flylo and shlohmo was better anyway imo, "Dont call it #Beats"

You want the Scuba interview at the RBMA. He starts talking about it around the 27 minute mark.

This is exactly what I was going to say. Seems some of you totally missed the point of the video. I enjoyed it. I don't really understand why anyone would have a problem with the content or how it was put together.
