Serious music for serious people. This happens round my house everytime I play this record.

I got a double album with 40 (or is it 50) golden greats.

His version of Carmen is proper mentalist. I heard he used to be the house band for the Merry Pranksters acid happenings back in the 60's which sounded like serious fun. There needs to be a junglist re-rub of Tijuana Taxi too
Hmm....

Deffo! I've got about 5 albums and a box set called Herb Alpert & Friends (Readers Digest Records) thats the Tijuana Brass playing songs by some of his chums, burt Bacharach, the carpenters and a few others. Monster sounds.

Theres a remix album of Whipped Cream & Other Delights but it's by folks like Ozomatli and Theivery Corporation unfortunately. I'd quite like to hear an Ellen Allien Remix of Accupluco 1922.

I'd love to have a regular lazy sunday afternoon gig somewhere to drop bits like this in.

I used to have an mp3 of Taste of Honey as a ringtone. Man's a legend. Playing this sort of stuff out to folks mashed off their ming mong on a Sunday always raised a chuckle

Yeah, taste of honey is another massive tune. Perhaps the next Dysfunktion bit should be a Tijuana remick?

I'd love to do one. All my beats are wandering toward the glitchy techy side of things at the moment, maybe they could do with a bit of brass.

I have the Evolution Control Committee 7" with Chuck D doing Rebel Without A Pause over the top. Early mash-up business.
