back to Basics for a Beginner

Post by bunford » Wed Mar 06, 2013 12:12 pm

I'm new to producing dubstep and am interested in learning the makeup of a dubstep track.

I'm looking for things like key features, how many drum loops are generally used, how many synths do you use/layer for bass and lead etc, any other tricks?

Not looking for any special secret giveaways, just want a good, solid starting point in constructing a dubstep track.

YouTube will have some video tutorials to get you started.

Failing that, the Search function at the top of the page will let you look through existing threads on this topic.

This thread is a good starting point.
