College Dubbers

Post by NinjaEdit » Wed Mar 06, 2013 3:05 pm

Inspired by the OfficeSteppers thread, I thought I would start one for us college kids.

What do you study at university (or school)?

I take a Grad Cert in Music Technology. I need to find a smart phone to borrow for my next assignment.

I hate you all, I wish I'd done CS - the money in program/web development these days, particularly for mobile platforms can be ludicrous.

It's not too late :W:
I don't think it'll be the worlds most fun job but it'll get me quite a bit of money for taking long vacations :h:

Tell me about it, I got a job right out of high school for Motorola Solutions Mobile computing support group and started off 50K a year. The developers I deal with are making at least 100K+.

Recently I've hit a crossroad where I really wish all I was doing all day was music production (or anything in the field) so by next spring I need to decide weather to go for computer science and try to go for an engineering position, or just take audio/music production classes and search for a job in that field.

business management with a concentration in marketing. im walking this may but i still have to finish up 3 more classes next year for 3 months. this year has been tough so far. hard to find time to make tunes but i've been getting straight A's and having a good time so.

edit: jst curious why did you guys choose to study history? like what do you expect to do? be a historian? or a professor/teacher? or be on the history channel? idk i just never saw the point. i mean its good to learn what happened in history or what we are told what happened, but i just cant see it being a career. different strokes for different folks i guess though.
