ExGauge - Sun Down (Dubstep/Drumstep)

Post by ExGauge » Sat Mar 16, 2013 11:01 pm

Soundcloud

This is my latest track titled "Sun Down"

I've been working "Sun Down" off and on for about a week and a half and finally finished it this evening.

My main goal was to harness that raw energy of making you want to jump up and down, skank about in your chair or throw your fists around possibly punching someone in the face!

I'm still new to producing and open to any advice you all may have, I want to learn as much as I can to push my creativity forward in a positive direction.

Any constructive feedback or simply a "wow cool" is more than appreciated :)

Hope you all enjoy! :D

Sounds really good, loving everything about the drums! And the bass really works for that raw energy, punching someone in the face feel ;)

All I would say (and I'm being super picky!) is the chords on the pad don't seem dark/moody enough. And maybe it needs some kind of nasty tones mix in with it.

Really like the track! :4:

Thanks man, glad you liked it and your feedback actually now makes me aware of my pads. I guess I carried them throughout the entire song when I could of switched it up for something a bit more "moody" and a little darker.

I'll be sure to keep that in mind when I'm building my next track!
