Vocal Techniques (James Blake style)
I always wondered How to do it properly because I understand (I think) the process , it's all about the pitch and setting it in time with the original vocal but after doing it....
I don't know if it's good ahah

Ah I see. Are you using Ableton? It's very easy to do in Ableton. If not, you'll need a pitch shifter if it isn't built into your DAW.
Re: Vocal Techniques (James Blake style)
Yeah I do use Ableton 9
! been searching for a while to do this
Re: Vocal Techniques (James Blake style)
yeah, basically just pitch the audio up a few semitones either using complex or complex pro mode (depending if ur after the chipmunk effect) and use the track delay function to delay the pitched voice a few milliseconds.
i did it with complex mode, 12 semitones and 60 ms delay for example --> reverb, compress and ur fine

Re: Vocal Techniques (James Blake style)
you could also use a harmoniser plugin (if this exists) I know some vocalists use harmoniser pedals to get a similar effect.
Re: Vocal Techniques (James Blake style)
Thnx guys actually found my way through it as in Ableton 9 everything is warped in complex mode and pitching files I knw how t do that...Melodyne did the job
Either way thnx for responding !
