-- About the Artists --

* THE POLISH AMBASSADOR *

For the Polish Ambassador project, born on the richly-colored streets of Chicago and San Francisco, infectious melody is paramount. However, this never overshadows the depth and harmonic complexity that have made the Ambassador a favorite amongst festival curators and beat aficionados worldwide. Over the course of 6 years, his sound has dipped and swirled through a staggering range of styles, with each album exploring uncharted sonic territory. Warm, analogue dreamwave; mind-altering glitch; world-infused groove; bass-fueled breaks; sexified downtempo; electric lullabies; and psy-fi funk are just a few of the genres that have poured from the Ambassador’s soul into earbuds and ghetto-blasters across the galaxy.

Despite the political connotations of his name, the Ambassador is not a political partisan. Rather, he is a diplomat for a new paradigm rooted in creative joy, radical self-expression, and ecological principles. As part of this mission, the Ambassador has committed to carbon-neutral touring, instigating exploratory dance, and igniting fan participation.

Flanked on the Ambassador’s left is visual artist Liminus, a master of translating dynamic, sonic landscapes into breathtaking video projection. Liminus’s improvisational abilities are a perfect compliment to the Ambassador’s custom-tailored audio transmission, and his presence on stage allows for an audio/visual synergy rarely witnessed in electronic music performance. The third member of this galactic crew is The Great Red Hype. As the Ambassador’s emissary in the crowd, he wiggles and swerves through the audience, amplifying revelry and extracting the collective freak.

Together, the trio will take you on a voyage that leaves you drenched in sweat, with a smile slapped on your face, and a heart busted wide open.

* PAPADOSIO *

Papadosio creates conscious, mind expanding dance music that purposely defies classification. In an attempt to create an inspirational environment for progressive and positive thinking, this year of 2012 will see the addition of some very exciting and integral means of expressing their artistic message. Papadosio asks that everyone re evaluate the role of music and take a less nostalgic view of what has been and a more enthusiastic view of what is and what could be. As the year unfolds Papadosio encourages fans to come with open ears, minds, and hearts, and help them wake the world.

* THRIFTWORKS *

Berkeley, California based electronic producer Thriftworks offers up his own fresh, outsider style weaving eclectic samples and explosive modern bass that takes the art of beat-crafting to new heights. Garnering much praise from fans and critics alike, his latest release, ‘Rainmaker,’ is quickly becoming known as one of the finest electronic albums of 2012. The album’s throbbing, deep low-end and wall to wall synths seem to channel something ancient and mysterious, offering up an intoxicating musical high. These sounds activate the senses, enrapture the mind, move the body and leave audiences begging for more.

* BLACK 22s *

The Black 22’s are are not just DJs, but Good Vibe creators. No two Black 22’s sets are the same and endless hunting for new tracks keeps their sound fresh for them and their listeners. The two are connoisseurs of high energy music and their genre busting sets include Breaks, NuReggae, NuFunk, Glitch Hop, Acid Crunk and Drum n’ Bass. Both J*Labs and Lou E. Bagels have a dep passion for DJ-ing and each brings their own flavor into the mix. When combined they bring a bass heavy funky dirty party vibe that keeps the dance floor bouncing. Hitting the decks with a colorful, playful vibe Black 22’s deliver every time.

* Live painting by Kevin Vigil & Yuki Mizaki *

"Most of my paintings start out as abstract smudges that i eventually morph into a vision that the music manifests. Capturing the combined energy from the crowd and music make my art what it is. I don't necessarily paint my paintings, I'm just a medium used to transpose the image from the universe to the canvas to share with all y'all. So i hope you like what i have to share, and just maybe it will inspire you to make something beautiful out of whats right in front of you." - Kevin

Yuki Mizaki is an artist, animator, animation lover, children's books lover, illustrator and music lover.
