TheBiggFrizzz - Midnight (First dubstep song,need feedback)

This is the first and (so far) only dubstep song ive ever made using Ableton, ive been using it for 3 months now (since new year) and would like advice on how to improve as a producer. Gimme your thoughts and what is good/bad about this track and what would make it better.

Pretty good for your first try, man, a lot of the elements are there. My best advice is to watch as many youtube videos on production techniques as you can and read through the production tips area of this forum, that's more or less how I learnt everything

Thanks man, fair comment, I agree the kicks and snares could have been more powerful, It's cause i put too much power into the bass it kinda swallowed all the other instruments that were playing. I tried to tone it down in the second section but then the bass was quiet-er...Still learning!

I sidechain compress my kicks and my snares into my sub bass , i also thought the intro was a bit long so i would either add more sound or fx to the intro or shorten it

I see, i need learn sidechaining yet thats why its not in this song, the intro was slightly longer than usual, but it was just for setting the drop up as well as setting the tone for the song. I can see where your coming from from "dance" perspective though
