I've always supported what illformed does and glad what an impact he's made on everyones music. I knew the next dBlue was going to have a pricetag... and it's a $60 pricetag.
Which isn't much I suppose for a great program but has anyone used it/bought it yet? I want some reviews before I drop some moolah on this.

*It's finally on the fkn MAC*
Only $60 nice, I need to get Razor, before I get this though :3 I love Dblue, it's cool, even though I use Effectrix, but I prefer Transpose for stuff like Tape Stop effects...
Meh, will reserve judgement until they upload some audio/video clips of it in action. I rarely use DB much these days, the sounds it gives out are a little too recognisible. It's still it's uses for percussion colouring at times if you're mixing back in with a dry signal, but otherwise...meh.

I wish there was a demo, to see whats so new... I presume there are videos, so I'll have to look around tomorrow sometime...
I got it. Rad plug in. The gate part of the effects list has such a nice stutter with lots of different speeds/options. The lo-fi and distortion effects also sound dope on these vowel-roars i've been working on. I'm finishing my new track 'Devour' today where i use lots of glitch2 for and i'll post it in here for ya once it's done.
Yeah I haven't touched it in awhile but I'm pretty sure I'll find some good use for it. Putting it on basses, drums, build ups etc. was working pretty nice for me.
@Batsy you should upload what you have. Is there anything new?
It sounds pretty clean. Lovin the stutter & gates you used on ur wubs. Any other effects you used from it? Couldn't catch it with my ears if you did.
Thanks man! Well, theres an effect called Lo-Fi in glitch2 i put on the vowel roars with the gate. The gate is the thing that stutters it. I put different speed gates and certain parts for faster or slower stutters, and the very last roar in the last 5 seconds of the track has the 'tape stop' effect to sound like it's some giant mecha robot screaming as it dies

I'm gonna grab it because I like the dev. he posts on the Renoise forums. I liked the original (although I rarely do glitchy stuff in my music). it was simple and dirty.
BudSpencertron wrote:i really like d blue glitch and it can be used like wub said uncommon or layered but the new one looks great bit like effectrix clone though
Maybe appearance wise, but as far as the functions, effectrix actually took after the original dblue glitch, which had beta's since 03 and came out in 05.
BudSpencertron wrote:yeah wasnt hating i think its maybe the best solution anyways just looked so similar
Oh yeah man i know you weren't hating, plus I'm not THAT passionate that i would defend glitch2 on forums :PP
But yeah i feel like dblue nailed the functions and effectrix had a better layout, and glitch2 is a combo of both. (imo) also i have never used effectrix soooo
