Was a good read.
This sort of "promotion" technique is quite prominent nowadays I mean look at the whole Justin Beiber and Lady Gaga Twitter that came out.
Over half of their fans are fake.

Can be a good thing in a way for up and coming producers.
Why not spend a bit of money on something that could possibly gain you more notoriety for something you love.
IMO of course :)

Or you could invest a bit of time and work on making better music.

Not to sound like a jaded old bastard...but maybe that doesnt matter anymore. Are the masses abke to make a decision as individuals?

It's temporary hype. Some body in marketing would tell you it's about having the right unique, demanded product. Content is king.

Interesting...I'd take it a step further and say it's not about having what is demanded, but showing the market the first glimpses of what it is going to be demanded further down the road.

I guess I mean where there is demand but not supply.

Ah, gotcha.

If your music is good enough, you create your own demand.

If buy good you mean original, then it fits the model.

People always say this, I'm not sure it's true (at this period in time). Or maybe it would be true if the market weren't so saturated?

Market saturation occurs when people imitate instead of innovating. Brostep (as an example) is saturated ATM, but when was the last time it was considered innovative?

Lame! Why would someone want fake fans, concentrating on making better music is the only way imo. I'd be embarrassed to promote an average tune I made!

I can't imagine these fakers having a long career unless they start making good music.

If the persons music is good and people (who otherwise would not have known about this person) respond to it well , where is the problem?
If the music sucks they wont go any further obviously.

Not sure you read the article, this is about buying bots, not people.

Yeah I gave it a read , I thought you were looking for opinions on it .
As opposed to the article it self

Just don't see how buying bot comments on Soundcloud will do someones tunes any good.

I'm just trying to see the positivity in things nowadays.
Maybe a person who does in fact have good tunes could benefit from something like that.

Granted in this day an age (with tech etc) things like this are constantly abused.

I've found that it's 100x more satisfying to have 100 fans who actually care about your music and take time to comment than 10,000 who don't give a shit.

Actually I'm still happy with small fanbase whom are really like my music than a bigger fanbase is just "yea cool tune man" attitude.
