In May we are more than happy to announce one of the first generation's true Dubstep originators, the one and only Cyrus!
Hailing from Croydon, London - the birthplace of Dubstep - this master of subbass started his career in 2003 when he launched his first label Random Trio Productions. Being one of the first producers pushing deeper and darker sounds around the 140 bpm mark he earned himself a slot on London's now legendary pirate radio station Rinse FM in 2004 where he played alongside godfathers like Kode9 and others. As his fame grew Pinch took notice of his productions which in 2007 led to the seminal release of his first full length album "From the Shadows" on one of Dubstep's top labels Tectonic. The album became a milestone not only for Cyrus but can now be considered a genre classic.
By now Cyrus' successful career has been going on for a decade already and the man seems unstoppable. He has played shows all over the world and has released his music on all the major Dubstep labels like Tectonic, Deep Medi Musik, Tempa and Chestplate (just to name a few…). He also founded his second label Origin Audio with Tunnidge and co-runs GetDarker.
Some of you might still remember his brilliant performance on our TRANSIT event back in 2009 where he blew the roof of the club. This time he will certainly deliver the heat again, so be ready!
