* Reggae Influenced/Dubwise 140 *

Post by DonLuigi » Tue Apr 30, 2013 11:38 pm

I know there are existing threads on this already, but i found a lot of the music posted was a little left-field of my specific taste :o I'm searching for artists/music in the 130-145ish region, that represents a true dubwise sound - (not just Dubstep versions of existing reggae tunes with a load of wobble over the top!!!)

That doesn't mean to say that 'versions' so to speak, are out of the question - just as long as they're tasteful - tunes like this.........

!!! Any help greatly appreciated !!!

Check all these mixes.. 3 hours and all with tracklists.

Also keep your eye on VIVEKs SYSTEM label and DJ Madds Roots & Future label.

Some bits on Box Clever too.

I've got every Box Clever release, the Greensleeves compilation and most of the DJ Madd stuff (Joka Smoker et al) Guess i'm looking for slightly lesser known artists/tracks..... There's some great stuff on the Moonshine Recs too

STEPPAS RECORDS - Alpha Steppa is a fucking DON
As said earlier Moonshine recordings put out some really good stuff.

The joint EP that they did last year is fucking brilliant.

you guys should check out the UK steppers scene - loads, and loads of original dubwise tunes and riddims - no wobbles, only sub... I made a radioshow with some gems from my collection, which is still available here: http://archive.sub.fm/RevealomaticUKSte ... 0SubFM.mp3

VIVEK and Joe Nice are pushing this sound, check out the Karma and Truant beats that are spun.

Madd has started a new label for this stuff too. I wanna hear more stuff like this tbh

ppl evidently aren't bored hence why they're on here.

the irony of your second sentence is 5*. irony at it's best for someone who rates the grime zomby is making.
