sounds like a pretty normal stab just really big and slow. (Listened to the deepheads one you posted)

can get these sorts of sounds out of loads of different sources - pads, electric pianos, wurlitzers, whatever. I use a lot of sampled chords that I've made from hardware for this sort of thing. The key is filter modulation and the processing chain afterwards. Env -> filter would be my choice. Then maybe more filtering, delay, reverb etc.
