It could of been louder. I was dragging my mates around the dancefloor (sorry skankers) looking for the sweetest bass spot. My favourite track from the whole weekend* was him dropping the Klaxons remix, it just put a huge smile on my addled head. Excellent set from Skream totally bumped him up my list of favourite Dj's. Convinced my Girlleen to make a pilgrimage to DMZ or FWD with me too. (Looking for the sweetest date possible for this, if i can can grab Skream and Loefah on the same bill I'll swim over)

(*I also loved Electrolane, Sonic Youth, Iggy, Jesus and Mary Chain, The fall, Serena Marrish and they all could of been louder too. I like my ears but it wasn't as loud as other festivals. Lot of drug busts too, people outside tents skining up. Like shooting ducks in a barrel for the DS bastards)

Ya, that was a feature of the whole festival - low volume. Quality of the sound was good but way too low for my liking, moreover for someone like Skream where bass is all-imporatant. Not half enough speakers in the tents.

Not really gone on that Klaxons tune - reminds me of Oakenfold/Trance, which is a bad thing IMO.

Didn't have any run-ins with the law myself, but just thought their strong presence was a waste - what did they achieve like??? Fuck all. Go back to inner city Dublin n' sort out the heroin problem.

Thought the security were a bunch of fucking stnuc though

Skream was great though, in all fairness.

They got their arrest quota's to keep the Powers happy. I only realised recently that the festival organisers have to PAY the cops to be there, how fucked is that. That Klaxons remix is a total guilty pleasure. Reminds me of being a teenager even though if you asked me back then i would of told you i hated it. I'm thinking of giving the E P a miss next year and taking myself to the Dour festival in Belgium, cheaper and no chance of a cop ruining your weekend/life.

LOL@ "guilty pleasure".........know what you mean man; it's growing on me as we speak.

They have to pay them to be there, ya?? First I've heard of that.....sounds a bit strange, but nothing really surprises me in this fucking country anymore. Their presence there, for the most part, is futile IMO.

Bunch of pricks alright, but I had more of a problem with the security and the whole organisation of the thing TBH.
