Hi folks. First ever post.


I've been making dubstep(ish) electronic music at home for about a year now. Before this
I played in rock/punk type bands for years- that's where a lot of my understanding of the live scene starts and ends!


I'm just wondering abou this-

So I make a music, and decide I want to perform live somehow. Where do you start?! Jowl
Do most folk get into actual performing and gigs? I live in glasgow.

Suppose this is a pretty noob question but I genuinely have no idea about glasgow a
"Scene" or venues etc, or how you get onto it.
I don't suppose this is specific to glasgow, I'm also wondering in a general sense how people go from

Not many dubstep artists perform 'live' (as opposed to DJ sets) but it is done sometimes, such as Mala's Cuba live shows, and I think Author do live stuff but I'm not sure exactly how they do it - there are no rules as to what defines 'live' electronic music, and some people would even see that term as an oxymoron.
