Old version of Wen's Ghost at 42:45. Apparently it was a grime tune as a collab with Epoch, dunno where that went but imo the new version is better.

imo the new version is more solid, weighty, and less formulaic on a grime tempo. btw if you have any new EPs coming out soon it'll be an instacop for me.

I wasn't being bitter haha, I do actually agree. It's my favourite track on his EP the mixdown on it is fierce!Doctor_Dave wrote:lol no offenseantipode wrote:I agree.Doctor_Dave wrote:

Original was just a WIP really.
Yeah I've got something out in a month and then something longer out a bit after that

Btw I seriously regret not copping the 11 38 EP in time cause discogs prices are through the roof for it.

Man I was thinking back to the dusk as blackdown show September 2013, that was sooo sick
The one where they played all the really hype jungle/hardcore sounding ones for the first time, What it Do, Proto, Mark Pritchard - 1234 and also Double Helix - Fuguese
I think poliwhirl and rinse compressor may have been played then too. Did those get released?

i think they also played wen for the first time in that show, that one really changed my way of thinking about 130.
it blew my fuckin mind, as soon as the show finished i was like "whoa this is the future!"
both rinse compressor and poliwhirl were released yep
RC out on Coyote Kings vol. II
poliwhirl on facta's own Wisdom Teeth with wen's late night on the flip, absolutely love that release!

Re: 130 thread
That was August. Had that mix on my phone for a while. It was unusual to see now-released dubs on that show when they were still unreleased and floating about, like that Horsepower remix or Blue when Sully's jungle alias was Carrion Sound or something.Harkat wrote:Man I was thinking back to the dusk as blackdown show September 2013, that was sooo sick

The real showstopper tho was Epoch's JME remix. Reminded me of his previous soundcloud tunes back in 2013 (The Baddest, No Tears). Don't know how I still remember those

Yeah this looks big, got Slackk/Finn/Inkke/Parris/Oil Gang at Corsica on the 22nd tho, then Distance in Brighton on 23rd... might be a square wave 2 farJohnlenham wrote:Just seen the next boxed go up on FB.

yesss, I'm really looking forward to that. BH have some decent releases in the pipe overall.

yeah i hadn't really listened to bh before 'the incident' but their releases are really strong, liked the japan blues one a lot and im looking forward to this one, im feeling the bruce remix of it too, there's some subtle melody going on under heavy distortion, really cool
i don't rate that their standard price for a plate is £10

Re: 130 thread
yeah that's the reason i don't buy any of their stuff, not particular on principle just can never justify it when there's so many quality cheaper records out there.
gonna get this one tho, all 4 tracks are fiyah.
also hodge just keeps pumpin out the tunes doesn't he, guys on a mission
