Ableton Live 8 MIDI Glitch

Post by Tekk » Sat Jun 29, 2013 6:05 am

Hey guys so I'm in the process of mastering this tune and there's this (what I can only assume to be) glitch.

I have about 3 basses layered on top of each other, all in different, independent tracks. Two of them are TAL Noisemakers and they are working just fine. The one that's giving me trouble is the TAL-Elek7ro-II.

Whenever I play the tune from start to finish, as soon as it gets to the last Elek7ro part, its out of tune, I think about 6 halfsteps up of what the MIDI is telling it. It's even more peculiar because the same synth plays a bassline earlier in the tune and its perfectly in tune, listening to what the MIDI is telling it. However, it corrects itself when I click anywhere in the arrangement view and plays how I MIDI'd it. It's making this final bounce really fucking irritating because its only out of tune when I play it from start to finish. I've solo'd the track and it still goes out of tune when nothing else is playing.

Anybody had a problem similar?

Here's a picture of my Elek7ro synth patch: http://postimg.org/image/tnogg25yr/ Am I missing anything?

resample.

or move all the midi for the affected clip down 6 semitones.

but I would just resample.

Have you checked the pitch bend? Even when it's defaulted at 0, it's better to actually put a breakpoint at 0 because it tends to ignore the default sometimes.

Hm, yeah the MIDI that wasn't giving me problems before ended in a pitch bend upward, but because I created a new MIDI track I thought that it would clear all envelopes.

I ended up just making a new track with the same synth and MIDI pattern and that fixed it. Thanks for your input(s) though.
