Durrty Goodz - Axiom EP

Post by vonboyage » Thu Sep 06, 2007 2:05 pm

Right. Im bored, so im writing about what i'm currently listening to.

I dont see this discussed. But i just had a proper listen of it. Its flipping brilliant.

Every track i'd play, bar one .. Its like, he buss case.. went studio & recorded probably one of the most gifted grime EP's of this year.

He's sat down and revised his flow, and the flow is top notch, fitting each track perfectly.

Some instrumentals you'll recognise, but some have been chopped to fit the rapid flow of Goodz, and after you'll want to seek out these old beats you know and love(d)

He's actually written to the tunes.. rather than your 'bog' standard "ride over instru" concept, which makes this feel really hands on.

Definately one to buy

My opinion.

9/10

3 tracks to 'homework'

Yeah on closer inspection i saw a Axiom post. but it was more of a "leading up to the release" thread.

Now its fully out etc i wondered what people's views on it were.

Flipping sick, init.

this is fucking amazing, absolutely love "take back the scene", goodz sounds awsome over that coki beat. i thought some of the hooks were a bit weak and one or two of the beats (license to skill) was weak, but goodz flow and rhyme schemes are unreal.

I agree best thing i heard all year in any genre, its been well and truely rinsed. Hope the rest of the scene realises these are the sort of beats they should be spitting over. I'd say even the weaker beats are better than 95% of the productions i hear on most mixtapes.
