Constructive criticism on my production/mastering

Post by Ian Sutherland » Mon Jul 15, 2013 4:40 pm

I understand that a lot of you might not like this style, but you can help me with production tips.
The other day I uploaded this song to SoundCloud, and a lot of people said that the kick wasn't punchy enough, and the snare needed more highs. I fixed that, but I still prefer the old version.
Here is a newer version.

Soundcloud

So what are your thoughts on what I should change/add/fix?

I haven't made a dubstep(ish) song in a LONG time, and maybe I just need to listen to more dubstep songs to improve my production.
