Keyboards with midi

Post by dooshbhag » Tue Jul 16, 2013 3:38 am

What do you guys use, what would you recommend?

Currently, I use an Akai MPK mini, but I borrowed a Yamaha YPT-220 for a live show yesterday, and oh my god, the way the keys feel... I didn't even realize how good the keys on the MPKMini weren't.
I'm looking into upgrading, I'll probably just get one of these, but I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations of Keyboards with MIDI compatibility? I only played it for an hour or so, so is there anything about this keyboard that I should consider carefully? Cheaper alternatives maybe?

MPK61 here. The keys feel a bit springy but I'm sure I'll get used to them once my hands get stronger. It's like a middle ground between flimsy synth action and hammer action.

As for the keyboard as a whole, I really like it. The drum pads are really sensitive now that I've done the tape mod and the knobs and sliders feel really nice.
