Its really a jack of all trades synth. There isnt much that i cant get done without it. Its fairly complex, but if youre any good at synthesis then theres a lot you can do with it.bouncingfish wrote:What makes it so special and why should I get it?

It does wave scanning, additive, vector, and standard subtractive synthesis. You can even load in you're own waveforms, or better yet, load in any .wav file. Its split into two identical layers, each with 2 osc, 4 lfos, 2 filters, step sequencer, and a shit load of effects. Theres also a master modulation matrix with something like 64 slots. And almost every parameter can be modulated as well. Plus its sounds fucking good. Theres some people over a gearsluts who've recreated sylenth and diva patches with it that sound just as good.
The only downside to the cheap $69 version is that youre not going to get a lot of presets with it. I really dont know if that matters to you or not. I bought this thing back when they only offered 1 version of it, and its just a silly amount of presets that come with it.
You should totally check it out if you're looking for a great synth for just about any occasion. Or go grab the CM version.

Love the filters and extra waveforms and ossicilator types but can not stand the layout. Wish I could use the filters and waves from 2.6 but the layout of the free CM version.

I don't mind the layout so much, just the color scheme. It's just so monotone. I think I change it like once a weekefence wrote:Love the filters and extra waveforms and ossicilator types but can not stand the layout. There is a ui editor if your on pc, and I've managed to take different aspects of the cm version and put them in the full version. Like those moog looking nobs and some other shit.
And I thought the cm version could load you're own waveforms also? Dunno, could be wrong.

Re: The last synth you will ever need.
Developer says you can load your own signed cycle but it doesn't work for me.
Try to copy additional waves from 2.6 to cm and it doesn't reconize any thing in the folder

Re: The last synth you will ever need.
The other reason I liked cm version was it was simpler so I could program it fast. With version 2.6 it seems a little long winded since are just so many parameters and modulators.
edit..
couple hours of really learning the mods and i'm good ...new favorite synth, but i still feel like the phase mod from cm version sounded different then 2.6 i'm having trouble getting the dirty hard dance leads i was instantly getting from cm version applying the the same routing???
