Post by ShrapnelDubstep » Thu Aug 08, 2013 10:24 am

So I've been listening to a lot of tunes like this lately:

Now I hear this kind of bass in all sorts of peoples tunes so I get it musn't be difficuilt to create, but I'm looking to make some really deep, gritty and grimey wobs that are just deep and nice, any advice that you could offer would be great!

Thanks :corndance:

Referencing the basses at like 00:28 onwards, holy shiittt they give me chills

Well, to start with the basics, you'll obviously want an LFO on a low pass filter. Try automating the LFO rate.

Now, do you have Massive? Try using the sine-square wavetable. And then automate the position. Start on the sine side and then move it over to the square. This will give it that sound that I think you're looking for where the midrange kind of emerges slowly.
