CRACK is a 35 track 06’-10’ Juke/Footwork compilation compiled by me (SELA.) with the intent of showcasing these ‘lost’ tracks, and more specifically putting the spotlight on 2007-2008 second-generation footwork music.

I did this because although it may be a ‘phase’, I love these tracks and would like others to receive a non-jaded representation of what juke and footwork sounds like (or, better yet, sounded like during this time) (not the UK-influenced sound). These are all re-records and stream rips from myspace/youtube/etc., in VBR quality, along with some things that were passed along/scavenged from random old threads across the net. If anyone hears these tracks and becomes inspired or realizes how these were damned-near a decade ahead of their time sound-wise, then my job has been done.
This took a lot of time.

Hello, I'm not sure we can really allow this on the forum, I appreciate the tracks are all publicly available and that. But producers put these on their profiles of sites to promote themselves and such. If the producers themselves are cool with it, then I don't have a problem, but until I'm told they are all happy with it, I'm going to have to remove the link. Sorry.

sorry for the late reply. coincidentally i got no email alerts for the last few posts.
idk the rules regarding this kind of post but they are separate tracks.
all of the tracks included are unreleased (officially) and many of the artists featured don't make music anymore.
as stated, these tracks only existed as lossy myspace streams, etc.

And don't feel tooo bad. Though I'm not her biggest fan, I think Kitty's a bit better than people give her credit for. They write her off too quickly for what she's on her surface but there's a more of a science to her rapping than most of her ilk :0

i don't have an issue with her, but i do have an issue with being perceived as a 'tumblr' musician by people because of those features (which all happened at random to begin with).
