Mono drum tracks?

In drum and bass you almost always want your drums on a mono track, is this the same with dubstep for the stereo imaging?? makes sense to me that it should be

For any genre, I reckon you want your kicks in mono, and the rest of the drums you can pan any way you want.

it doesnt realy matter all that much unless you're getting some dubs/vinyl cut. then the whole signal process has to change...keep bass in mono too. lead sounds can generally be ok....poly/unison etc

If it's just lossless high quality tunes to be played out then bear in mind that Club setups usually dont give a true representation of 'stereo' anyway. not like everyone stands in the centre.

produce in stereo if need be but master/mix/check in mono to make sure some of the sounds that have been panned havn't reduced in amplitude or just completely disappeared all together when played through one speaker.

do what you gotta do.
