My Nu Leng/Justin Jay bass sounds

Any help regarding making the bass's featured in these 2 tracks.

Im guessing some sort of saw wave, low pass filter, phaser with a 2/1 rate some distortion or something.

have been trying got something similar but nothing that has the clean yet gritty feel as these sounds

try adding a second saw wave, detuning it up and down until it clicks harmonically in key.. this sounds like massive with a ton of automation going on. lot of low pass filter automation like you said as well as phasing (pretty sure he's automating wet/dry on that as well)

This is about as close as i could get. closer to the my nu leng sound but still no where near it.

think i need to take a break and give it another go with fresh ears.

getting there but you need more automation, more shape. he's going crazy with all sorts of weird shit in performer, or just manually editing attack times. i would guess he bounced a shitload of sounds as well and reversed some stuff and modulated more.
