Moombahton-ish track, need mixing feedback

Post by sdaniels343 » Wed Nov 20, 2013 9:04 pm

Hey everyone, I am in the process of mixing my first Moombahton type track and would like some opinions. In the past I have had very flawed mixes and that led to poor quality, and thats well...bad lol. I am asking for some advice on what I could do to specifically make this mixdown better, and I am also trying to learn how to make all of my future mixes sound better too. I have posted a link below to an unmastered version of the track, which I will have posted on my Soundcloud for a day or two. I really appreciate all opinions and suggestions!

Thanks in advance!

Hey!
Nice track you've got there, but here is some things that would make it better!
Cut out some mid and low end cause it sound a little messy right now.
Side-chain the drop a little too.
Ad some high and the drop is fine!
The drum can be better Eq'd, but it's fine.
Keep the mix quite low cause then you can master it more and just crush it with an limiter.

Greetings, Octoboy.
