Bass Institute - Haunted House (Dubstep)
Hey guys,
I've just posted a new track 'Haunted House'. I was going for an eerie vibe through the track, I'd love to know what you all think.

Nice variation through the drop. I found the lead sound a bit too basic. What are you using to synthesize that sound out of curiosity? Your mix could do with a bit of work also as that panned synth sounds really loud compared to the rest. Other than that you have potential with this one. Good job.

Rezzo is Right. Try to find a More refined Lead Patch.
The Arrangement Is Really ok I like it.
Another thing I would do is to move a filter on the guitarish sound to give some variety.
Let me know if you make any changes.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedbackHashkey wrote:Try to find a More refined Lead Patch

The lead was just something I quickly put together, I liked the 'spooky' feel that it had to it. However I have struggled with creating decent leads in the past, do you guys have any suggestions on what I could use to help with this?
Re: Bass Institute - Haunted House (Dubstep)
Massive is my go to synth tbh. Use it for pretty much everything. Other than that try playing with audio. I find you can get all kind of sounds if you play with a long reverb on say, just some random voice recording.
Re: Bass Institute - Haunted House (Dubstep)
For The Lead I'd say layering is key.
If you want a more sawy lead use some supersaws they are very good for leads.
Plus try putting in parallel a pitchshifter plugin with 12 semitones.
You can also put some short reverb on the lead always in parallel and after that distort/saturate the reverb.
