A representative of the famous label Hessle Audio - Pangaea is a household name within the electronic music scene. Pangaea has a increasingly hard to categorise sound, his productions range from contemporary garage and recently have been pushing deeper into murky world of techno but his DJ sets are firmly routed in the traditions of UK Bass Music.

Pangaea’s previous musical releases are already the subject of much critical acclaim from discerning techno fans. Coming from a label containing releases from the likes of James Blake, Boddika & with support from Ben UFO you know the music is going to be quality, let’s be honest - we don’t really need to try and sell it, It’s Pangaea.

Emerging from the shadows for our January Event, Get Born are insanely proud to present Akkord. Named as one of Fact Magazines ‘Best Artists of 2013’ the Mancunian duo (Synkro & Indigo) are set to deliver a set of the likes you’ve never seen before. The project has created a innovative sound that combines ‘the obsessively honed production aesthetic of contemporary techno with the ‘abstract rhythms and dread inducing atmospheres of dubstep. What emerges is something that, though clearly indebted to the past, feels genuinely futuristic in its approach’ .

MICKEY PEARCE

Paradigm shifting, Only Fools ’n’ Horses referencing Mickey Pearce is set to grace the stage at the latest instalment of Get Born. After leaving his last moniker “Shortstuff” behind in 2009 Mickey returned to the studio and has been pumping out only the finest of productions since 2012. Previous releases on Ramp Recordings and Punchdrunk records have been well received, and his latest signings to Loefah’s Swamp81 have been keeping ears listening and hearts pumping on the UK’s dancefloors.
