Ive been producing for a couple years now, but lately I feel kind of stagnated. I can write good music, but mixing and mastering is where i fail, I've read and watched video tutorials and yet can't seem to achieve a "tight" mix, I've already read the moneyshot thread dw.

I finished that song yesterday and something feels off, especially in the drop and the general volume of the track, it just doesn't sound right and I don't know what it is.
Here's a list of things I'm already doing, feel free to tell me if any of them is wrong.
-Bussing similar instruments together, synths in one bus, bass in another.
-Compression in each bus
-No FX sends
-Mastering with Ozone(no presets)
-Couple of layers in each instance(5 synths in the drop, 2 for the bass)
Could anyone help me pinpoint my weakness, tell me wether my rpoblem is in mixing or mastering...or both
Just to clarify,im not looking for any feedback on the track such as "cool/bad melody".
"Tighter"/Pro Mixes?

Re: "Tighter"/Pro Mixes?
Sounded good to me. EQ is the most important thing, though. Maybe try a reverb send?
Re: "Tighter"/Pro Mixes?
I listened to the track here are my views:
Drums are getting drowned in the mix. Your lead saw synth's are killing the drums. Use parallel compression or use volume automation. The kick and the claps need more punch and attack to them. Use a transient shaper for that.
When the vocals come in again at again at 1:22, the vocals are a lot lower in the mix and sound less processed than at the beginning.
The lead saws synth's need to be more dynamically tamed, either compress them harder or lower the volume or whatever, but they seem to kill everything in the mix when they come in.
Maybe add a little more reverb to the acoustic guitars and vocals. Use a send reverb rather than an insert.
