Ez all,
Just posted my first tune up in the Tunes section here:
http://www.dubstepforum.com/tunes/twist ... cation.mp3
It's some dubby half-step stuff.
I didn't know there were tunes with the word "zombie" in the name yet when I made this, so go easy! lol... should've figured...
I submitted this for the forum compilation and made the first round of cuts. Probably a bit bold of me to enter my first tune, but no disrespect intended... I still have lots to learn about this style, but I've always loved a big bass!
After a few weeks to reflect, my own critique of this track would be that I could probably do some more interesting things with the drums....
If anyone else wants to give me some feedback, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks.

Eh up
Love the atmos/samples/stabs, drums sound a little bit dead though...maybe needs a snare with a bit more "snap" to it...some higher freqs..like a handclap layered on it (the typical dubstep/grime clap)
bass sounds decent, although to my ears it ocasionally hits a semitone or so different from what i was expecting...like its sometimes out of tune with the reggae keys or summat. dunno.
overall i like what ur goin for

good advice, thanks sgt.
I'll probably just redo the drums using some better sampled hits and add some better reverb. I was thinking the kick was the bigger problem, but I see what you mean about the snare too. Might keep some of the cymbals, but that's probably about it.
Yeah, the bass thing is probably just from tweaking the synth wierd or something... I'll try to listen out for that.
glad you feel the general vibe though, appreciate the reply
