Visual performance in ableton..

Visual performance in ableton...

Hey guys, was just wondering hows your visual performance in ableton, coz
what i noticed is that on my mates mac its pretty fluid (around 40-60 fps, stable), but on my PC the FPS is pretty
low (on complicated projects its around and even below 10 fps) even though my pc outperforms that old macbook quite a few times.

My specs :

amdphenom II 965 BE (oc'd to 4ghz)
8gb 1600 ddr3
2gb amd radeon 6970 (pretty powerful gaming video card)
ableton is installed on an SSD...

what could be the cause of this? I dont really see how comes that i can play BF4 (one of the most
resource consuming PC games out there ATM) multiplayer on ultra settings
with higher framerate than ableton 9.1 ....

ok found something will try it when I'm at home.

"
Right click the Ableton application, go to the compatibility tab and select Vista (can be SP1 or SP2, both work)."
