Following the brief side step into the electro-house and trappy goodness that Gunfight blessed us with, Certified Bass Records has again gone back to its roots for this cracking release. If you’re into your deeper, more thoughtful dubstep, then Kliptikz has created a collection of tracks that is right up your street.
UK producer Kliptikz has been making dubstep for just over two years, and he has found his feet pretty darned quick. It is not often that you hear such complex and intricate productions from somebody with such little experience. Kliptikz claims to draw his influences from the likes of Badklaat, Requake, Biome & Widdler, and that much is clear from the sounds he is making.
This aptly named ‘Pick n Mix’ EP demonstrates a supremely high level of attention to detail in every aspect, so it would be simply rude to not to give it a test.
Tracklist:
1. Unknown Origins – contains incredible robotic mid range bass lines which will cut through any sound system to leave you wanting more.
2. Persist – focuses more on well thought out percussion which will keep you hooked throughout.
3. Take This – wonky, just WONKY.
4. Slender Bender – you won’t find this one on Soundcloud, so check it out on Beatport and make your own judgement!
