Scan Pro Audio and Intel have teamed up to bring you a massive production competition!
There's five categories, but the one thats most relevant to DSF is probably the Electronic one , though the one where you can win a studio session with TMS (Professor Green, Dot Rotten, Emeli Sande etc) might also be of interest

For full details, or to enter, please go here http://www.scan.co.uk/velocity2014

You need to submit a video that features a piece of your work and a brief (try to keep it under 5 minutes, but we’ll allow up to 10) explanation of some of the techniques you used to do it. We’re calling this the iNside Story! The entries will be judged on both the piece of work you submit AND how well you describe your techniques in the iNside Story video.
Make your video, upload it to a hosting site, fill out the entry form, selecting the category you wish to enter and send us the URL of your video.
There's a link to a 30 day demo of Camtasia on the homepage, which you can use to make your video and do screen recording.

The Electronic category is brought to you in association with Scan Pro Audio, Intel, Ableton, Adam Audio, RME, Keith McMillen, Subpac & Manchester Midi School.

First Prize (Chosen by Bailey)
Ableton Live 9 Suite and EVERY expansion pack available!
Masterclass day with Ableton Certified Trainer, Simon Lyon
3XS SA-87 Audio Workstation featuring Intel i7 Processor
RME UCX Audio Interface
Adam A7X Monitor Speakers
Keith McMillen QuNeo Controller
Subpac S1 – Tactile Bass Device
Manchester Midi School – Online Ableton Course
Release on Scansonics with remix by Bailey

Runner Up (Chosen by Dead Audio)
Subpac S1 – Tactile Bass Device
Manchester Midi School – Online Production Course
Release on Scansonics with remix by Dead Audio

There will be two winners in this category chosen by Drum and Bass legend Bailey and Dubstep filth-mongers, Dead Audio. Not only will the winners get their hands on some amazing production kit, they also be offered a release on our Scansonics record Label with remixes by the judges! Both these artists use our 3XS Audio workstations with Intel i7 Processors to make their music, which could now include a remix of your tune!

You could also join them as the proud owner of a SA-87 workstation PC with a fourth generation Intel i7 CPU, which is perfectly paired with the RME UCX interface, which is the best performing USB 2.0 interface we have ever tested.
The combination of the two products will maximise your ability to run more channels, instruments and plugins. To get the best out of this system, you will of course need some software, so you'll get Ableton Live 9 Suite and every expansion pack ever released by Ableton! We also have the fantastically customisable (and near-indestructible) QuNeo controller from Keith McMillen which will let you tweak Ableton to your hearts content!

No studio is ever complete without some monitor speakers, so we've got a pair of the Adam A7X's, which won the coveted Sound On Sound readers award in 2012 and 2013 for Best Monitor Speakers. As many people now produce at home, we have a revolutionary Subpac M1 unit that lets you feel bass frequencies as low as 10hz, without disturbing the neighbours! Not only can you win a complete studio full of kit, but you will also get a masterclass from Ableton Certified Trainer, Simon Lyon, who will also help you set everything up and give you a personal 1-2-1 training session on Live 9 Suite. To complete the prize, you'll also get a place on a Manchester Midi School online production course.

The winning tracks will then get mastered at the near-legendary Finyl Tweek mastering house, before getting a release through our own Scansonics record label, along with the remixes from the judges!

Bailey first rose to fame with his residency at Goldie's Metalheadz Night in 1995, a role that he still holds to this day! In the years since then, he has become best known for his radio work, first on BBC Radio 1Xtra for 10 years and now on weekly on Ministry of Sound Radio. He's also no stranger to the studio, having done remixes for the likes of Roni Size, Nas & Damian Marley and Chipmunk
Dead Audio are best known for their uncompromising, filth laden Dubstep releases for Borgore's Buygore label. Previously known as Break The Noize, they scored a massive hit with their remix of Modestep's 'To The Stars' with The Autobots, clocking up almost nine million Youtube hits to date. As Dead Audio they have remixed the likes of Yasmin, Fytch ft Captain Crunch and notably Borgore & Miley Cyrus's track 'Descisions'

Have a look at this example entry to see what we're after.
