Continuing our one legend and one newcomer booking policy, this time round we have one of the biggest pioneers of the Grime scene, with support coming from the producer behind what is going to be one of the biggest tracks of 2014.
Logan Sama is one of Grime music's most influential figures. Starting his early days on Rinse FM, he moved to London's Kiss 100 in the spring of 2005 and began a late night specialist Grime show, which proved so popular it soon moved to Monday nights 11pm-1am, where it has steadily grew to its current position as one of the leading shows among young people within London, capturing over 61,000 listeners in the Greater London area as certified by RAJAR. His exposure of live mix sets and first played new tracks has led to him becoming the leading figure in radio for Grime music with a massive following. His last appearance in Liverpool was in 2011 in The Shipping Forecast for Abandon Silence where he absolutely destroyed The Hold. We can't wait to let him unleash his exclusive dubs and rarities in the same spot yet again.
Gage is one of the UK's most unique emerging producers, and is behind the dizzying club experiments of 'Telo', which is undoubtedly going to be one of the biggest tunes of 2014 and has garnered support from all manner of DJ's including Murlo and Logos (who both included it on their recent Fact mixes), Bok Bok, Brackles, Slackk, Bloom and many more who have been lucky enough to grab a copy. Originally from South London but now based in Bristol, he cites a 2011 Crazylegs party as being a big turning point in his direction as a producer. Fast forward to 2014 and he is now part of the Crazylegs camp who are readying to release 'Telo' as his first record. Telo's stuttering kicks and skewed synths bridge the gap between Hard Techno & Grime, re-configuring punishing drum tracks with all the rudeness of old Skool 8-bar.
'Remember the first time you heard Untold's 'Stop What You're Doing' and just froze. 'Telo' has a similar effect' — FACT Magazine
Support as ever comes from the Go! DJ's, Andy 'Slew Dem' Hill, Rich Furness and Frankie Venom, with mic duties in the hands of the amazing Miss Stylie, Rosh and Rugrat.
