Well SUB:CULT fam, another year has passed and we are fast approaching our 3rd birthday...
The time has flown by and we would like to say a massive thank you to all the people that have been involved in or at our events from the djs, ravers, helpers, organisers, venues, promoters, supporters, followers, fans and friends for making the last few year truly epic!!!!
After hosting and doing SUB:CULT guest sessions for various nights in the Beaver Works Basement a few times last year, we couldnt think of anywhere we would rather throw our 3rd birthday party as we have had some of the best nights ever down there and love the whole venue and vibe that comes with it.
We hope you can all come along to join in the celebration and toast to another year of events with some of our old and new residents aswell as some new talent for 2014, Junglism Crew take-over, plus we have decided to give your ears a treat and have booked one of the biggest and hardest hitting 140/future jungle breaks and bass acts in the UK - 601 - to come smash the beaver works basement to pieces!!!

There is also a separate DUB HUT & Symbiosis Sound System event on upstairs at Beaver works on the same night so please remember not to use the normal main entrance for our event but to come down the side of the venue to the basement entrance.
Although we are running separate events, we have been in talks with Dub Hut and because we may have friends that would of liked to attend both events... we have agreed that if you pay into our events, after 11pm you will be able to get into the other event for only £2.
meaning, you still kind of get that full beaver works 3 room event experience but at a discounted price for 2 separate events.

601 are long time collaborators Nat Slater & George Miller. Hailing from Harrogate, North Yorkshire, they create bass music and breaks with an emphasis on experimentalism and a style that heavily references drum and bass and dubstep.
The last few years have seen them busier than ever since the release of 2009's critically acclaimed Dirty North LP on Polar Red and the subsequent live performances (including a spots at Glade festival, Tear Nation in Spain and Breakspoll) and the equally lauded Plasmatic State EP on Rocstar.
601 has enjoyed releases and remixes on Noodles, Westway, Scarcity, Polar Red, Standard, Rub a Duck, Sub Slayers, Hot To Trot, Rocstar, Electric Tastebuds, Downbeat, Epidemic, Ape and many more.
Over the years 601 have made national radio appearances on Jay Cunning's Kiss100 Radio show and Radio 1's Annie Nightgale show.
In 2011 601 launched their new Bass music label We Do Bass and made Passenger their home with the release of their biggest selling releases yet the Rockers and Heat EPs as well as an EP for Sub Slayers called Raise it Up which included the smash dancefloor hit Rage which caught the attention of DJs across the bass music styles from DJ Hype to Toddla T to Jaguar Skills, the latter used Rage on his Ministry Of Sound Compilation in early 2012. Last year saw 601 cementing their place in the scene with their biggest selling tune yet Blackout, again on Passenger which mad a huge noise in places like Spain where the crowds responded rabidly to it's bouncy drops and huge bass.
2013 saw the release of their new LP We Do Bass, their first for Passenger and an ambitious step forward for 601 who have collaborated with vocalists such as Ragga Twins, Madrush MC, Frilla and Roisin Brophy to attempt to make an LP that defines their version of the 140 Future Jungle sound that they have been best known for in the last 5 years. 601 are now making strides forward to try to make sure they leave their mark all over the UK and worldwide bass music scene, setting their sights on the live arena. all over the world. to promote the release.
