My opinion: I think that this track has a lot of potential.
I think that the sound design and mixing are really good and I think that it's, all in all, an excellent track.
The only problem I have with it is it sounds so "epic" (i'll use this cliché for lack of a better term). I began to listen to it and I'm thinking to myself "F**k yeah man, this drop is gonna be 'epic'..." and I was left a little disappointed. IDK, I just wanted more out of it.
Based on this track I don't think that it's lack of talent or creativity on your part. I'm probably just a victim of my own expectations.

Oh, thank you so much for the feedback! I understand what you mean, since the drop isn't that loud (and it's kinda static). You have a good point and I will surely keep that in mind for my next tracks.
Haha yeah, def has that epic tension to it. I don't fancy the pumping, I think you limited too hard. I think the mixing needs a lot of work. Did you have trouble getting everything to come through how you wanted it? It sounds like you ran into the fader war where you wanted parts to come through so you just kept pushing everything up and ran out of headroom. When you feel like you want a part louder, EQ cut first to see if you can get it more defined so you don't need to boost the vol. When your kick and snare come in, there is no freq, left for them to occupy so they have to push everything else down and it results in the pumping effect.
I actually had a real hard time to get this as I wanted it to be. Spent over 160 hours on this track so I got pretty sick and tired of it. Haha! .. I limited way to hard on some of the busses, but I tried to "hide" that I did that. I really appreciate that you mentioned it, because then I know I should not do that again.
I'm sorry to tell you that you are completely right when it comes to me losing headrom (good catch). I have started on a new track where the master don't get over -6dB (before mastering) pluss some other tricks and tips I got from a friend of mine.
Thank you so much for the feedback, Banesy!!! Constructive and on-point! You have helped me a lot
No doubt that I will (try to) use some of your knowledge on my next track
